We have a five-year subscription to Magic Jack. It's cheap, and it's through the internet...when the Net goes down, there goes the phone. This laptop is underneath my desk, out of the way, hidden. But, it works, and it's so reasonable, that it's okay.
This is what my son has rigged up so he can call home when he is in Afghanistan. Did Jeremy do the same?
