Sunday Night; It's a Sing-Along!
Oh, what fond memories as we sat around to sing on Sunday evening out on the back lawn.
Helping us out were: Allen, Jeremy, Gheen, Beth, Amy, Ryan, Brandi, Jenni, Brent, Janessa, and momentarily, Stockton and Landon. The other little kids ran wild, but the adults just enjoyed the music!

My Whistle Can Make More Noise Than Your Whistle
Here's how you do it: pull off a leaf from the tree, fold it and blow...

On the Daughter's Orders
"Get two pair," the Family Nurse Practitioner said, "and your feet will feel better in the morning."
So, I followed her advice. Two pair; one for every day, and one for dress.
She's right, my feet do feel better....but
oh, my aching pocket book!

Graduation Day
She looked radiant, and he was pretty proud of his daughter.
And, we all had a great day!
There's just nothing like a graduation day.

One Day Wonder
This lovely magnolia flower on the tree in our front yard will sadly be this stunning for only a short amount of time. It is beautiful and magnificent, but so short-lived; not unlike some people whose lives are cut way too short...but, oh, the joy they bring no matter how brief their time on earth.

Future Yumminess
Ah, just look at those two peaches...now, if only the birds don't attack it! I like having the birds around...I just wish they didn't like the same things I do!

Seen on Front Door in.....
Parker, Idaho;
a very teeny town outside St. Anthony, Idaho
close to Rexburg, Idaho,
and not too far from Yellowstone Park or Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
This just made me laugh out loud....
Teeny home,
big sense of humor!

Home from the Hospital!
Almost 95 (June 22)
Tuesday - 4 hour surgery
Thursday - home from the hospital
Unseen - side of face where baseball size growth was removed.....many many stitches from ear to bottom of chin
Results - incredible! He's happy, talkative, and so happy to be back in his own brown chair!
I can hardly believe he had surgery; he's just his same old self....amazing!

This Little Light of Mine
Picture this: it's 4:30 a.m.
RAH is sleeping, I want to read w/o leaving the cozy bed, but don't want to wake him up by turning on the light...what to do?
AHA! put this little gadget on my ear (see the black ear loopy thingie), turn on the light which points directly at the Kindle (or book, if I'm actually reading a real book!), and voila! I can read easily without distracting Allen at all.....how cool is that?!?!??!

They are lined up against the back wall...lots and lots of them. And, yes, they will taste deliciosioso when they are fully ripe. Come on over in a few weeks and enjoy some fresh grapes!

I know that I only use a small portion of their capabilities; could that also be like my brain/mind?

Hardly Seems Possible.....
That these beautiful roses could be from the same plant.
But, they are; both pink and peach.
Takes my breath away to see them early in the morning with the dew on them.

Really Old and Thrashed, but Still Used
I paid a lot of money for these Birkenstocks many years ago. IT seemed like such a lot of money, but my goodness, I have certainly gotten my money's worth.
I just wear them around the home mostly, and just bought a new pair of Keens for travel, walking, etc. But nothing can replace these shoes that have totally molded to fit my foot!

Handy Kitchen Gadget - Part 2
Allen gave the apple corer and the egg slicer to me for Mother's Day one year.
While I don't use them a lot,
they are so handy/perfect when I need them.
Thanks, RAH, for the thoughtful/useful gifts.

Mr. Coffee
This is what I discovered on our kitchen counter when we returned home from three weeks being gone on a home exchange. Usually, we have borrowed a coffee maker from our friends, the Huntingtons, but we didn't think about it, or just didn't get it done this time. But, I know that coffee is very important to people, so I feel badly that we didn't provide the borrowed one for them.
Thanks to Don and Patti however, we are now prepared with a Mr. Coffee, and lots of coffee papers for the next home exchange. Just don't ask me how to use it - no clue!

Wednesday: Welcome Home!
When we returned from an almost-month-long trip, our courtyard was abloom with roses, roses, roses. I just wish that smells came along with this post.
Tuesday Morning: Imogen's Bed
Now, where is she supposed to actually sleep? Oh, she finds a little nook, climbs in under her blankie, and sleeps soundly, knowing all her precious "things" are right there with her!
Monday: Lovely Lucy
After school, we all went for a walk, and Lucy looked enchanting in her levi skirt and straw hat. The state of Virginia is just way too far away!

Home Sweet Home for Dr Kristi D
Mantel over kristi d's bed
she always makes an attractive home wherever she goes....

and she gave up her comfy, cozy bed just for us while she slept on the couch!
